Scope of application

VAE Vinyl acetate copolymer: 

.   Plastic matrix type:

o    Polar plastics: PVC (hard/soft), EVA (co-modified), PA (nylon), PET/PBT (polyester type).

o    Non-polar plastics: LDPE/LLDPE (film), PP (polypropylene, to be combined with compatibilizer).

o    Blending systems: PVC/ABS, PP/PA, PLA/PBAT (biodegradable materials) and other incompatible systems.

.   Processing: Extrusion molding (film, pipe), injection molding (shoe soles,seals), calendering (flooring, wallpaper). 

.  End-use applications:

o    Packaging field: food packaging film, heat shrink film (flexibility↑, puncture resistance↑).

o    Building materials: PVC door and window seals, waterproof membrane (weather resistance↑, low temperature toughness↑).

o    Automobile industry: interior skin, wire harness sheath (impact resistance, aging resistance).

o    Footwear and textile: EVA foam soles, TPU/VAE co-blended elastomers (lightweight, high resilience).

o    Biodegradable materials: PLA/VAE co-blend (improve brittleness, prolong service life).

Function and purpose

.   Toughening modification:

o     Significantly improve plastic impact strength.

         o     Improvement of low-temperature toughness (remain flexible at -30℃). 

.   Interfacial compatibility:

o     Reduces phase separation by synergizing polar vinyl acetate (VA) with non-polar ethylene chain segments in the blending system (e.g.,nterfacial bonding ↑30% for PP/PA blends).

.   Functional balance:

o     Toughening while retaining matrix rigidity. 

o     Improved processing fluidity.

.   Specialty performance extension:

o     Enhances weathering resistance.

o     Provides material adhesion (for interlayer bonding of composite films).
