rPE (recycled PE, including HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE)

Source: packaging film/bag, bottle, barrel, pipe, etc.

Target applications: Blow molded products (non-food contact bottles, cans, barrels), injection molded parts (pallets, barrels, cartons), extruded products (pipes, profiles, plates, low-end films/bags), garbage bags, agricultural pipes.

Appropriate additives and functions:

Chain extender (small amount available, not necessary): Mainly used to repair severely degraded LDPE/LLDPE (such as recycled film material), improve melt strength (improve blow film stability) and toughness. HDPE is relatively stable, less demand

Nucleating agent: (HDPE injection blow molding) Accelerate HDPE crystallization, improve rigidity, hardness, heat resistance and dimensional stability, shorten the molding cycle.

Aging resistant masterbatch: Core additive! Similar to rPP, the replenishment of antioxidant system is crucial to prevent rapid thermal oxidative aging, yellowing and embrittlement during processing and use. For outdoor applications (such as pipes, turnover boxes), light stabilizer (HALS) should also be added.

Lubricating masterbatch: Key additive! For rPE, especially recycled materials containing impurities or mixtures, it plays an extremely significant role in improving flowability, reducing energy consumption, reducing precipitation and die scaling, and improving surface quality. It is the basis for ensuring processability and product quality.

Toughening masterbatch: (for high toughness requirements of rHDPE applications) to improve impact strength.
