Toughening Masterbatch BTM- 3010
Scope of application
BTM-3010 is mainly used to improve the toughness of transparent PLA products. It can simultaneously improve tensile toughness and impact resistance.
Function and purpose
BTM-3010 is a transparent toughening product specially developed for polylactic acid resin (PLA). The structure of the product is designed with polar functional groups, which has excellent compatibility with PLA resin and can form a uniform and effective toughening network in PLA resin. This network structure can absorb and disperse the impact energy when the product is impacted by external force, thus significantly improving the toughness and impact resistance of PLA products. The refractive index of this product is similar to that of PLA, which has almost no effect on the transparency of most products, and is an excellent choice for the production of PLA transparent products. At the same time, the product can also improve the compatibility between the resin components of PLA modified materials, reduce the interfacialphenomenon between the resin components, and further improve themechanical properties and appearance of the products. The product can beused with other raw materials such as PLA through the twin-screw modified granulation, can also be directly blended with other modified materials to make end products, suitable for injection molding, plastic absorption, 3D printing and other fields. The recommended additive amount is 10-20%, the actual additive amount depends on the sampling results and the mechanical properties of the products.
