Appropriate additives and functions:
Hydrolysis-resistant Agent (Carbodiimide): Core additive! (Suitable for all humid and hot environments, especially unmodified PA and glass fiber reinforced PA) It effectively seals carboxyl groups to prevent hydrolytic auto-catalysis, significantly enhancing long-term toughness, strength retention, and dimensional stability in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. Crucial for automotive engine compartments, water-contact components, and outdoor electrical equipment.
Nucleating agents: (thin-walled parts, precision parts, rapid cycle injection molding) Accelerate crystallization speed, shorten molding cycle, improve crystallinity, improve dimensional stability, surface gloss, rigidity, heat resistance (HDT). There is a special demand for transparent nucleating agents for transparent PA.
Epoxy chain extender: (recycled PA, glass fiber reinforced PA, ultra-tough PA) repair molecular chain fracture caused by processing or hydrolysis, improve melt strength, characteristic viscosity, improve processing stability (reducing flow loss) and mechanical properties; may assist in toughening in ultra-tough formulations.
Lubricating masterbatch: (glass fiber reinforced PA, gears, bearings) Improve fluidity, reduce friction coefficient, reduce wear on equipment, improve demolding, improve the surface finish of products (reduce glass fiber exposure).
Toughening masterbatch: (components with high impact toughness requirements) significantly improve low-temperature impact strength, notched impact strength, and improve stress crack resistance. It is used in bumper inserts, sports equipment, etc.
Aging resistant masterbatch: (outdoor application, high temperature parts) Resistance to thermal and oxygen aging (especially PA66) and ultraviolet aging (light products), prevent yellowing, brittleness, strength decline.
