Scope of application
BTCE-9370 is mainly applied to the processing and recycling of the following polymer materials:
. Polyester materials: such as PBT, PLA, PBAT, PHA, etc. for enhancing mechanical properties and heat resistance.
. Recycled plastics: to enhance the performance of recycled materials.
Functions and Purpose
The core function of BTCE-9370 is to catalyze the ring opening of epoxy functional groups through catalysts, to promote the chain expansion reaction to enhance or recover the performance of materials, and also has the performance of low temperature ring opening, which can be better at a low temperature of 140℃, specifically including:
. Chain expansion ability:
o Recoupling molecular chains broken by degradation during synthesis, processing or recycling to increase molecular
weight and melt strength;
o Increase melt viscosity and improve processing stability (e.g. extrusion,blow molding, film molding, etc.).
. Hydrolysis resistance:
o Reduces viscosity changes due to hydrolysis by reacting epoxy groups with chain ends, improving material stability in humid environments.
. Compatibility improvement:
o Promote the compatibility of different polycondensates (e.g. PC/PETalloys) to optimize the overall material performance.
. Reduced processing time:
。 In solid phase polymerization (SSP) of PA and PET, it can significantly reduce the reaction time.
. Recycling performance enhancement:
o Make the mechanical properties of recycled plastics close to those of virgin materials, supporting the circular economy.
Structure
BTCE-9370 is a copolymer containing epoxy functional groups and other catalysts to assist the epoxy functional groups to open the ring, each chain extender molecule with 9-13 active epoxy groups, can be linked with the polymer chain end of the hydroxyl, carboxylic acid, amino, thioether group and other reactive groups, the formation of dendrimerization of the molecular structure.
