Nucleating agent BTD-8808
Scope of application
Aryl sulfonates as nucleating agents are mainly used in the extrusion, injection
molding, blister molding and other processing areas of PLA materials,
specifically including:
. Extruded products: straws, 3D printing materials.
. Injection molding products: knives, forks and spoons, meal boxes and
plates, beverage cups.
. Blister molding products: beverage cup lids, lunch boxes.
Function and purpose
The core function of aryl sulfonates as nucleating agents is to optimize the crystallization behavior of polymers through heterogeneous nucleation
mechanisms:
. Accelerate crystallization: shorten processing cycle time and increase production efficiency.
. Improvement of properties: Enhance the mechanical strength, rigidity, and heat resistance (e.g., heat deflection temperature) of the material.
. Stabilize processing: reduce shrinkage and warpage, improve dimensional stability.
Structure
The molecular structure of aryl sulfonates typically contains an aromatic ring skeleton combined with a sulfonic acid group to form a salt compound with a polar functional group. The molecular and structural formulas are .
